I was coaching before coaching was cool!

30 years ago we rarely called it coaching, and coaching certification was unheard of! What most people know about me is that I’ve been an executive coach and leadership consultant to C-suite/senior leaders and their teams at large companies, military branches, not-for-profits, and partnerships/family businesses around the world. For years I was the youngest in the room, and the only woman. Since then, I have proudly served many groundbreaking leaders of all kinds, and now am finally older than some of my clients!

Let’s think of my life in 2 sections, what I’ve done and who I am. Here are a few entries in my “DONE” section:

Now for the (far more important) BE” section, Who I am:

What you may not know about me is that my journey since 2019 has unapologetically welcomed and integrated my lifelong intuitive channel into the CEO spot, tying together the fearless candor, humor, and compassion that I bring to my life. My clients and I are now exploring far more expansive arenas--broader and deeper inside and out: Next level leadership, integrating wisdom and intuition with analytics. I coach other high-flame coaches to do the same.

It has been scary to move from a successful zone of excellence (executive coaching) to my zone of genius (intuitive leadership consulting). Would I lose everything I’d built over 30 years? Would people think I’m nuts? (Well, more than usual anyway!?!) I took the leap, the ground shook, and here I am. I know what changing everything feels like from the inside out. I don’t scare easily. My clients know I am here for them, no matter what.

My purpose in this life is to influence the influencers.

Powerful as I am, I am but one person. My clients’ decisions touch thousands, sometimes tens of thousands of lives every day. When I make a positive difference in their lives, their mindset, their perspective, then I’m making the impact on the world I’m here to make. That’s what puts a sparkle in my eye and a bounce in my step. That’s what keeps me reading the latest books and looking for the funniest cartoons and stories. That’s what excites me about investing deeply in my own coaches and mentors. My clients inspire me, and serving those who serve their organizations and the world so powerfully is my honor.

So, what’s it like to work with me?

My diverse education and broad life interests blend with my particular genius for connecting dots in unexpected ways. I turn assumptions on their heads, flip the script, shift the mindset, and twist the kaleidoscope for my clients. My deep connection to Source/Intuition/Wisdom makes my presence a calming, expansive force, and my coaching courageous, hilarious, and empathetic in powerfully supportive ways. They don’t call me “The Meat Cleaver of Truth” for nothing! I invite my clients to come home to their own knowing as well.

Have I mentioned we laugh? A lot?

“You shine … that’s what you bring to the world— joy, lightness, playfulness. Hell, you even turn saboteurs into pandas!”

I am a living invitation to the Truth of your own grounded knowing that “I am sky, the rest is just weather.” And yes, sometimes the weather sucks for a minute, but it’s better facing it together.

So if, like Dorothy in movie-land Kansas, you’ve spotted a tornado heading your way, we will grab dear Toto and face the storm together

  • getting curious (always)

  • laughing (a lot)

  • crying (sometimes)

  • discovering and releasing the misunderstandings that make for tornadoes

The result? Insight, peace, expansion, accelerated strategic/future-sighted decision-making, and connectedness to partners at work and home in ways that make room for their expansion too.

Other things people tend to be curious about…

I grew up on a large cattle farm in northern Virginia, the youngest of five kids. I am incredibly inspired by my parents, grandparents, siblings, and extended family, high achievers across a wide array of disciplines.

My home is in Winston-Salem, NC with my husband, Andrew LaRowe, Topa! our rescued Great Pyrenees giant floof, and a holiday assortment of six adult children (and partners) and six growing grandchildren; some by DNA, some by merger and acquisition, ALL of the heart! Our home reflects a vibrant and inviting warmth: a fire in the fire pit, something delicious cooking in the kitchen, friends and family engaged in solving the world’s problems, and always music in the background. In fact, to me, “home” is wherever two or more are gathered together with good food, loving conversation, live music, rest, and lots of laughter.

Things I’ll invite you to consider if we work together:

The following insights have literally changed my life. If we work together, I’ll encourage your consideration of them as well:

We (the world) are all connected—not like the hippy-dippy slogan from the 70’s. At a cellular level, nano particle, quantum physics way, we are connected to all things and they to us. So, if something is truly in highest and best for you (not a selfish want, but a soul knowing), by definition, it's in highest and best for all. Whether others like it or not is another story, and that’s their journey. Yours is to listen for what’s in highest and best, and take action.

I, you, we can't screw this up. Literally. Profoundly literally. At every single millisecond there are limitless possibilities to choose, and choose, and choose again. Everything is fodder that works to the good.

Humans are notoriously terrible at judging our impact (in both directions--overstating and understating). Judging our impact is above our pay grade. Let it go.

Therefore, your only job is to begin listening to your soul for what's in highest and best and take action on what you hear. You find the courage to take action from knowing the Truth that you can’t mess it up. And even if it looks like it’s not working as intended, listen again and take the next soul action. You don’t have to concern yourself with judging your impact. You just keep listening and keep taking action fearlessly, then listen some more.

Truth is my superpower.

I hold a space of unconditional Truth and Love so that my clients can access their soul’s deepest truth and limitless possibility. Some truths are hard—and they unlock beauty. Other truths are beautiful—and they release things that have been hard. That’s not always a comfortable journey. Truth is my superpower —inviting people into the truth of their OWN wholeness, power, and capacity, and the truth that they are completely held and loved is the reason I’m here.

When Sarah is in the room there is Light. Joy. Laughter. Safety. Fun. She brings Truth and the ability to trust these in yourself. When she leaves, the space still resonates with the energy. It activates a mirror quality within.”
